Privacy

NightLull is run by Joseph McGrath, trading as NightLull, who is the data controller. This page says what we keep, why, and for how long, in plain words.

What we keep, and why

Your email address, to sign you in and to send the emails described below. We use magic links, so we never hold a password.

Your listeners: the names, ages and likes you tell us, so stories can be written and chosen for them. You can call a listener anything you like; a nickname works.

Your stories, nights and feedback: what was read, when, how the night went, and what you tell us afterwards. This is used only to choose and write better stories for that listener.

Subscription details: your plan and its dates. Card details are held by Stripe, our payment provider, never by us.

Reminder subscriptions: a token for your device, so it can be sent a bedtime reminder you asked for.

Who else sees it

To write and narrate stories we send the text, the listener’s first name and their likes to AI providers (Anthropic through OpenRouter, and Google), who process it to produce the story or the recording. Emails are sent by Resend. Payments are handled by Stripe. Our servers and database run on Vercel and Neon in the UK and EU. We do not sell data and we do not use advertising trackers.

Cookies

We set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember which listener you chose. There is nothing to consent to, so there is no banner.

Emails

We email you sign-in links, receipts, a note before a trial ends, and a note if a payment fails. We do not send newsletters unless you ask for one.

How long

For as long as you have an account. Deleting your account from the Account screen removes your listeners, stories, nights and reminders immediately. Payment records are kept by Stripe for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can see, correct, export or delete your data by emailing hello@nightlull.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
