Terms of service

NightLull is run by Joseph McGrath, trading as NightLull, in the United Kingdom. By using nightlull.com or the NightLull app you agree to these terms.

What NightLull is

NightLull provides bedtime stories to read aloud or listen to, and, for members of NightLull Plus, stories and serials written on request and recordings of them. Stories are written and narrated with the help of artificial intelligence and, for the free library, edited by hand. They are fiction, for comfort and sleep, and not advice of any kind.

Your account

You must be 16 or over to create an account. Keep your sign-in email secure; anyone with access to it can sign in as you. You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen, which permanently removes your listeners, stories and nights.

NightLull Plus

Plus is a subscription of £4.99 a month or £39.99 a year, including VAT where it applies, with a free trial of 14 days. A payment card is taken when the trial starts and the first payment is made when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep Plus until then. Prices may change; we will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change affects you.

Plus includes fair-use allowances shown on the pricing page. We may pause a feature for an account that is used automatically or in a way that clearly exceeds personal use.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the Account screen. As a UK consumer you have a right to cancel within 14 days of starting a paid subscription. Because Plus provides digital content straight away, by starting it you agree that we may begin immediately; if you cancel within those 14 days we refund the part you have not used. Our refunds page says how.

Your content

Stories written for you belong to you to read, share and keep. Names and preferences you give us are used only to write and choose stories for you. Recordings of your stories are stored so they are not made twice.

Our content

The library, its recordings, the illustrations and the NightLull name are ours. You may read and listen to them freely, share links to them, and read them aloud to anyone. You may not copy the library or its recordings for another product or service.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep NightLull available every night but cannot promise it, and we are not liable for a night without a story. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
